Layer in the vanilla wafers, sliced bananas, and pudding until you reach the top . I like to do this in three’s then repeat . Bananas can be added between layers or just on top.
If I am serving them quickly i add the fresh banana. However , if i plan to make ahead and serve later the next day i just add the pudding . Toss in the wafers and fresh banana right before it’s to be consumed.
The banana doesn’t do well sitting overnight and can darken . Plus vanilla wafers can get pretty soggy fast. So, I don’t prep these banana pudding jars to early in advance.
